A Message from

|
Welcome
to the 2011-2012 school year at Fred Fifer III Middle
School. The same high expectations for student
learning, behavior, and citizenship will continue.
We will emphasize hard work and determination.
During this past summer, teachers attended professional
development workshops and have been refining their
skills to even better meet the needs of every student
under RTTT and NCLB. We warmly invite all of you
to join us in our endeavors to increase student
achievement in whatever way you can. We know that with
you as our active partners; students at Fred Fifer III
Middle School will emerge as winners! For at
Fifer Middle School, we have high expectations for
learning, a determination to be successful, and mini
celebrations along the way to acknowledge our
accomplishments.
Fifer Middle School's mission is
simple and clear. It is to nurture a learning
community in which all stakeholders - students and
staff, parents and citizens - work together to enable
all students:
·
to meet or exceed state standards
at the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels.
·
to acquire the tools they need to
become successful life-long learners.
·
to recognize and respect the
rights of all members of our diverse community.
·
to pursue personal interests and
activities to promote physical and emotional well being.
·
to become active, participating
citizens.
Our school exemplifies the positive
results that occur when staff, parents, students, and
the community work together. Teaching, learning,
changing, improving--we each do all we can. We focus on
the positive and work with integrity. We believe that
communication between home and school is vital to our
success. Copies of the 2011-2012 handbook will be given
to each student on the first day of school, and a copy of the handbook
is also provided online to clarify the District and
school’s policies and procedures. Please keep this
handbook in a safe place so that you may refer to it
throughout the year.
